The artist Finneas and three other supporting acts quit Ed Sheeran’s tour on Tuesday, after the US rapper Macklemore was removed for his pro-Palestine comments on stage.
Finneas, Irish acts Aaron Rowe and Beoga, and Lukas Graham of Denmark all posted statements announcing they were quitting Sheeran’s “Loop Tour” in solidarity with the rapper and Palestinian people.
"Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed,” Finneas said in a statement on social media.
His statement came after Irish singer Aaron Rowe published a statement, announcing that he had decided to withdraw as a support act for the British singer.
I’ve not really been following this story…
But the MST3K posts on reddit have been hilarious - all these fake announcements of various acts (or “acts”) that have quit… 🤣
I used to do crafts but from now on I’m only doing arts and activities. /s
Get woke or go broke
For anyone not already aware, Kraft is 100% Epstein class.
“There are actually two cases involving billionaire Palm Beach neighbors that are blowing up right now — those of Kraft and the convicted teen-sex-abuser Jeffrey Epstein,” columnist Will Bunch wrote in the piece. “In different ways, both men exploited women who were very young and very poor — and whom they considered disposable.”
Nobody here needed to see this, but thank you very much for posting it anyway 😊
It is part of this story. Robert Kraft is the one who pushed the future venues to cancel Macklemore.
Oh, sure, as I said, thank you very much for posting the rest of the story. Everyone should hear it.
👍
For anyone who is not aware, buying Kraft cheese is 100% supporting torture and murder of cows.
Why would cheese murder cows. And I have my doubts of it there is any cheese in there.
Ed: “Both sides…”
Everyone else: “…”
“sign in to confirm your age”

The title says it all. He fucked up!
You either vehemently oppose genocide in all it’s forms, to the furthest extent of your ability, or you wind up supporting it, whether you mean to or not.
Ed does not need to perform. He doesn’t need to tour. His career could (and may have already) end tomorrow and he would never know another day without luxury.
He can afford to take a stand. Taking a stand, causing a ruckus, being visible being difficult, these are all important things to do. It’s the only way to get the people who think they can get away with it to stop.
Genocide is not all bad. If we got rid of all the Epstein class and billionaires things would probably improve. And yes it would be genocide cause they don’t consider themselves the same as us.
Lmao love that bit.
He really figured out what happens when you try to “both sides” a genocide
Dude is going to need a DJ to play all his background music as well
“Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn’t mean I don’t have [opinions about the germicide] and it doesn’t mean I don’t care,” [Sheeran] said.
Lack of action is complicity.
Ed sold out a long time ago
Did he ever have anything to sell?
I mean he’s ginger so it couldn’t have been his soul.
I thought he was alright. I once read that he reserves the front row of his concerts to give out to regular fans, instead of just rich people.
Of tickets or values
Both maybe?
It’s show business
So it would seem, not for everyone
If the Zionists have the strategic sense of the TERFs, they’ll love-bomb Sheeran à la Graham Linehan. “Those nasty terrorist antisemites have rejected you, Ed? That’s their true nature. Your real family is here, with us.” Nick Cave or Jonny Greenwood or someone will fly over to play support at one of his shows (before a less illustrious act can be found for the rest), Boy George will send words of praise and propose a guest appearance on the next album, and so on.
Too bad I can’t listen to Ed Sheeran even less
Gee… here’s an idea: maybe fucking actors and fucking singers with little/no formal education or qualifications should shut the fuck up about their political opinions.
Maybe those who have the podium and the privilege should use it.
So which is it? Sometimes people tell them to shut up nobody wants your opinion and others it is use it?
You know in the 1960s, so I’m told (as I wasn’t around then), rock and roll wasn’t afraid to be political. Fuck, that was half the point.
Ever hear of Woodstock? Not Woodstock '99…that was a blatent nostalgia-driven cash-grab put on by boomers who were incapable of attending the original because they were off fighting charlies or getting business degrees. The original 1969 Woodstock.
The one where a black man beautifully dessicrated the national anthem. Yeah that one.
Times have changed. Ever hear of the Dixie Chicks?
Exactly, only enlightened geniuses like us who comment on forums are brilliant enough to have opinions on politics. Why should we listen to well-traveleved people when we can get the real scoop from your mother’s basement?
Normally I hate this kind of appeal to authority stuff, but I gotta defend the guy: Macklemore literally went to college and has a degree in political science… he’s as qualified to talk about Palestine as anyone else is.
How is an anti-genocide position politics? Is it not just human to not be able to ignore atrocities?
Is denying the holocaust also just a political opinion to discuss?
We probably shouldn’t talk about the Holocaust and Nazi Germany, much too political. Let’s just forget it ever happened.
Actually were it political we’d have to understand that Hitler had some good points, but we just disagree with them.
What were Hitlers good points exactly?
Maybe what bites me in the ass is English being my second language. Doesn’t the use of “were” make my sentence conditional? So I’m saying that if Holocaust denial is a mere political disagreement we would unironically be discussing the pro and cons of Hitler’s points… which I’m not suggesting we should.
Would you say that you need qualifications to form opinions about a topic? That seems quite restrictive, specifically for politics. Lots of people have and share political opinions without qualifications. You yourself just shared a political opinion, do you have qualifications?
You need to formal education and qualification to know genocide is bad
I guess you’ve never watched a movie or listened to a song?
Art is a way for people to express themselves, and political opinions are traditionally a big part of that.
An article I saw the other day said that it’s not Ed who’s doing this, but the owners of some of the venues who were complaining about the comments.
Yeah, but instead of standing up to them like the rest of his fellow musicians, he tried to take the bitch way out and say “not my fault, nothing I can do.”
That “owner” pressured Ed and Ed obeyed.
The owner tugged the leash and Ed flopped on his belly and peed himself for good measure.
It’s even more nuanced. The tour promoters bent the knee, and Ed used it as an excuse to wash his hands off the situation and say “it wasn’t my decision”
The owner did not tell Ed to talk privately to Mac and telling him that holding a Palestinian flag hurt a lot of people feeling
