Not only did the billionaire tax fail in California, but prop 42, to amend the California constitution to forbid the introduction of taxes on personal property (investment accounts, art) for the wealthy in the future, backed by greaseball Gavin Newsom, seems to have passed.

Weird, only 65% of votes reported.
Hmmm yeah, I dunno, the language of this particular ballot initiative does not seem confusing in any way:

I don’t know what you’re saying.
I wasn’t being clear, sorry. It says pro 40 failed but it’s only at 62% reported with 6+ million ballots to count still. Isn’t it too close to call it a fail?
Also your link doesn’t work.
Yeah the link definitely works for me. The URL has so much punctuation in it that I had to add it to the comment as a link and just pasted the URL text as the title and the link. Just tried it now and it works fine.
Link works.
Their status says it’s too close to call. Maybe end of next week we will see where it’s at. So far it’s mostly smaller towns/counties votes have been completely counted for.
