The first line is:
Palantir, the shadowy tech and surveillance company founded by right-wing billionaire Peter Thiel, is now working with Mexican restaurant chain Chipotle to supposedly track food safety issues.
Is that true though? Chipotle is Mexican food?
They use tortillas. That’s as close as I can associate the two.
It’s Mexican food for bland suburban white people.
I’m from Oklahoma and the first time I had it was in San Diego with someone from Phoenix. I didn’t get it at all, you couldn’t throw a rock without hitting a better Mexican place in San Diego.
Being from rural Arizona, my first experience with Chipotle was in Washington DC where the other half of our tour group was a school from Oklahoma. Somehow it was still hot for them.
I will continue never going to a Chipotle.
Can’t miss it if you’ve never had it 👍
Chipotle used to be really good, especially at their original locations in Colorado. Absolute top-tier fast food at a time when that was an oxymoron. Then in the 2010s they started slipping, while their competition started improving rapidly. Now it’s but a shadow of its former self.
Chipotle’s food handing was designed for lots of customers over a short period. When they started, their restaurants always had a line. So they always had fresh ingredients and a lower risk of foodborne illnesses because nothing sat around long enough for pathogens to multiply on it.
By the mid-2010’s they had massively over-built, the lines disappeared. They more than earned their moniker of “Shitpotle”.
Now offering digital diarrhea too!
it’d be worth getting a palantir customer list so we could tell what companies to boycotts
I’m in San Diego. Why would I ever need to walk into a Chipotle?
Suicidal tendencies? 🤷🏻
But all I wanted was a Pepsi
Is that band working at Chipotle in SD, they sure have fallen.
I verbally oofed. Great answer
I stopped going to Chipotle after the constant food poisoning
Which, ironically, is the stated reason for them doing this. Apparently, your absence was noticed.
Man, that’s not a real reason! The solution is pretty simple!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHsR65IRW_8
There’s a chipotle not far from me. I usually see people in there. But there’s also like several local mexican places that are great right nearby. So I’ve never gone to the chipotle.
Nothing changes for me.
