It’s usually only reported as an attempt if it requires time to physically recover from the attempt. Like, put in a coma but still alive, or permanent damage from the attempt.
Even if medical reported every attempt they know about, a lot never even make it to medical.
The reported number will never match reality, and with this administration you can’t trust any number they say anyways. This worked out to the same ratio as Navy wide, including the majority who were on land.
