[features eyewitness reports from various cities by participants]

from World-Outlook Oct. 20, 2025

More than 7 million people turned out for the No Kings protests in about 2,700 cities and towns in all 50 U.S. states on October 18, 2025. These numbers are based on reports from the organizers and media across the country.

The main sponsors included the liberal group Indivisible, the American Civil Liberties Union, and hundreds of other national and local organizations.

Some of the largest actions took place in Chicago (250,000), Washington, D.C. (200,000), New York City (where estimates ranged between 100,000 and more than 300,000), and Boston (125,000). Thousands marched in many cities in the South, including Dallas and Houston, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Birmingham, Alabama; and Raleigh and Durham, North Carolina.

I cannot now remember who said it, but it perfectly captured the problem with Trump:

“With Donald Trump, there are many questions, but no mysteries.”

We dont need the epstein files, and we certainly are not going to get them; not unaltered at least. Regardless, we know what is in there. Not everything, but everything we need to know with respect to Trump. At this point, his supporters do not care about the facts as far as Trump is concerned. We have to stop hoping that something is going to rescue us from Trump’s grip on our reality. Nothing will. All that is left is for us to act.

Needs to hit almost 12 million to be 3.5%.

So, not really close, but better than before. TBH when Trumps reaction was an AI video of him crapping on protests, 12 million isn’t going to matter any more than 7 million.

Yeah 12 million people going out for a parade is not the sustained organized campaign that is required to topple dictators peacefully. Maybe if it was 12 million protesting every day, but one day of protest isn’t going to do it, even if it shatters attendance records.

I really wish Americans would wake up and realize having a sign party once every few months won’t stop Trump’s fascist takeover.

They are spending EVERY DAY tearing down democracy. You have to fight back with the same level of energy to defend it.

Lawyers, city councilmen, police officers, bankers, judges, manufacturers, shippers and movers, producers, and millions of all manner of people think they don’t have a dog in this fight, that this is all normalcy and basic political divide. But when hundreds of thousands of people walk down mainstreet, they realize two things: 1. this is not normal 2. they need to reassess their own position.

Correct. I’m not saying it’s not helping.

I’m saying if you can’t do more than 2 single-day protests 126 days apart to demonstrate that, you deserve to lose.

They are destroying your democracy, kidnapping your neighbours, removing your rights, and crippling your economy every single day of every single month. Two protests, regardless of how big they are, is not going to stop them.

          Wake. Up.

Most Americans who would go protest like the French would lose their jobs, miss a rent payment, and then become homeless.

We’re a country of domesticated slaves being held hostage.

If you forgot about something from less than two weeks ago this quickly, you probably have more dementia than the president.
