Sounds like a big indicator that he probably shouldn’t have monuments
But he is right for the first time in his life, that’s an achievement.
A broken clock is right twice a day
Only a stopped clock is guaranteed to be right twice a day. A clock could run just a little bit slow or fast and it’ll rarely be right.
Could just be so fucked that the hands are completely gone too.
Even if they’re really tiny?
doesn’t make it useful
Not the one in my car. It slowed about 1 minute per 2 months.
I stopped changing it for daylight savings to see how far off it would get, driven rarely as it was, and the answer is that it seems to be internally maintained even when the car is off because even months I didn’t drive contributed to the lag.
Not if its a digital clock.
he’s so narcissistic that he’ll just make one for himself. just to prove himself wrong. right after he kissess Neteynahoo on the lips once again.
And then we’ll tear it down as soon as he’s out of office.
he can have his monument of cocksucker for Israel. he owned it hard. cocksucking all day… speedrunning it.
Why wait that long?
Cops.
They’ll still be there once he’s gone.
Haha
Agree, this will be the first thing he’s right about.
Should memorialize it with a statue.
A golden turd on a tin plate is as close as I’d be willing to put up in his memory.
monument of monumental shtupidity … that would be worth it.
monument of cocksucker of Israel.
that’s actually unexpected awareness of reality
I honestly didn’t think he was at all self-aware.
He’s not. He’s doing it because he thinks nobody will literally build monuments to him. Not because they think he’s an asshole, but because he thinks no one BUT HIM will be able to do it.
He’s a narcissist through and through. Taking things into his own hands because it’s the only way he’ll maintain power and control.
Yup. He doesn’t believe others will but is rather firm in his convictions that he is deserving.
I don’t know, but my 2 yaers old does this too: “you NEVER let me have chocolate!”
So in my head I see Trump also saying “NOBODY will ever build me a monument” while pouting, crossing his arms and wiggling his shoulders back and forth for emphasis.
Your kid shimmies for chocolate and you still don’t succumb?
My partner is a clinical psychologist. She says this is one of those lines that gives away a patient’s narcissistic personality disorder diagnosis. Because a narcissist never feels about themselves how they need others to feel about them.
i guess what surprised me was not that he understands it but the fact that he admitted it publicly - people will hate me after i’m gone
I build one for him after my first cup of coffee and before I go to work, every day.
Thank you for your service 😄

I definitely won’t be building any monuments. Effigies maybe.
The only monument I’ll be building is his coffin, taking a crap in it and putting it on my lawn.
I can see a market for some headstone themed urinal cakes to encourage better aim.
I will need a flagpole extender to fly at double staff instead of half staff.
Pots and pans. When it’s for sure I’ll be banging pots and pans as loud as I can regardless what time it is.
Not only nobody will build monuments for him, I genuinely hope the Dems have the balls to tear down every stupid little shit he did. And seizing Trump tower and turning it into rent controlled housing would be the cherry on top. Also, turn Mar-a-Lago into a public park and name it Biden Park
E. Jean Carol Park, to keep it non-political.
That’s genuinely way better.
Frankly, Biden should not be memorialized either. He and the idiot fucking brain trust that is the DNC/DCCC were the ones who gave away the Republic to these kleptocratic fascists. My fury at him and Harris and the rest of the party establishment that enabled the second orange regime to win a second stint is, shall we say, not small. They did like, what, 20-30% of things reasonably well, and then just didn’t fucking pay attention to anyone but their fucking consultants for everything else, and that entire class of MBA fuckwits is famously sycophantic and Duning-Kruger-esque.
Beautiful
I’d like to see him live just long enough to watch everything he did get undone.
Sadly, I don’t I’ll even live that long.,
Any of his properties should be seized, any of those named after him should be get rid of and renamed.
Including this building.

But but oh my fuck there will be parties
Do effigies count as monuments?
I say we built mommets of him every year after his death and burn them as a reminder to never let a shitty fuck like him ever rise again.
I’m 100% with you, problem is that in 4-8 years after Trump is gone, and with a Democrat as President, half the American population will have forgotten. Just like they did after Bush, and just like they did after 4 years of Trump’s first term.
It’s like half the American population is insane and never learn!?
You can just say Republicans
When you artificially restrict your options in the voting booth (big shout out to First-past-the-post voting), solutions are few and far between.
Elections become who can be the 2nd worst, not the best. That’s why the democrats wanted Trump to be free to run again. I am sure democrats couldnt stop thinking about how bad they could be and still force people to vote for them if they could run against Trump again.
It is true that FPTP is contrary to a well functioning democracy, but in USA it has become down to an insane option of intolerance and recklessness that since Trump was elected the first time has decidedly turned to fascism, against the less insane option.
But it is not only FPTP, it is also the whole concept of a President with extreme powers for a democracy.
A president like in USA will always boil down to 1 man, ultimately making it a binary option, and that man has way more power than any single person should have in a democracy. There is absolutely no 2nd worst about Republicans. There is no way you can reasonably argue the Democrats are worse than the Republicans.
Republicans are the result of a feedback loop on insane rhetoric where psychopathy is interpreted as a symbol of freedom. And a government and media normalizing that psychopathic mindset. In many cases that side of politics and media have completely lost contact with reality. That is textbook insane!
That’s a waste of money, just throw yearly parties like new years
I just like fire. Everything is better with fire.
Especially red hats.
I’d love to see a red hat bonfire.
That’s more perceptive than I’d give him credit for.
There should be a monument to Trump. USA needs a constant reminder of the danger of populists and Fascists. I suggest a huge public toilet.
Ask around salt the civil war statues.
The sad thing is that that’s probably not true.
Def China, Russia I think Iran probably too.
That makes me happy, not sad.
Are you sure about that?
Of course I’m sure. Unless I misunderstood the question.
So you’re saying you hope people build monuments to the Cheeto when he’s gone? Your post history suggests otherwise.
We should help the population, not worship trump.
I’m not not unsure of anything in the present past
Tango was saying that it’s sad that people probably will, in fact, build monuments to trump after he’s gone. You said that makes you happy rather than sad. ddplf was asking if you meant what that sounded like, i.e., that you were happy some people would still be sincerely celebrating trump after his death.
Misunderstood the question or sentence structure. I mostly skim. To reiterate, trump bad There should be no glorifying of the degenerate pervert.
I figured that was probably it. At the point I commented I didn’t see your other reply; you may have written it while I was composing mine. I was just trying to help explain the conflict.
We all need more of that. Thanks!
A generation after the Civil War, the Daughters of the Confederacy blanketed the country, and especially the South, with monuments to the traitors who fought and died for slavery.
Yes, I expect we’ll find both the money and the will to build monuments to this abrasive corrupt man, this shrill soulless void of ego and need, this vile abuser of women and children, this screeching embodiment of our worst qualities.
If they do, I hope it’s the same caliber as other confederate monuments.

I’ve heard that sometimes monuments are a bit like flock cameras, and they just fall over for no obvious reason. It’s a real shame, but there you go.
Trump tippin’?
Need to treat all Trump/MAGA memorabilia like Germans treat Nazi memorabilia- completely outlawed, with stiff penalties for possession.
…do piñatas count?
You can already build now! No need to wait until the creep to croak.
You mean the Mussolini approach?
Yeah, a nice gas station mobile that can also be a pinata.
Any usable hooks at the White House or the Washington Monument to hang him upside down?
“The one thing they can’t tear down will be the East Wing. That is his lasting impact. That’s why he cares so deeply: legacy sh*t,” the source said.
Yeah, because this asshole already did it.
If tearing down that ballroom is the very first thing President Newsom does, I’ll be overjoyed.
If President Newsom becomes a real thing, I will end my life.
Please dont let any neoliberal have that much power over you.
You shouldn’t let any politician have that kind of power over you.
You could put literally any of the worst people in history in charge, and I won’t be killing myself. I may not survive, but it won’t be me killing myself.
Please don’t harm yourself
I don’t want president Newsom. I want food and healthcare for all. I want taxes for billionaires. I want sustainable energy, not more fucking oil.
Newsom is a corporate shill. He will make things worse for the people of the United States just like he makes things worse for the people of California.
He isn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t say he makes things worse for us, Californians.
But if we get out from this we need another FDR not another corporate Democrat.
Maybe he didn’t affect you personally in a way that you noticed, but he absolutely is making things worse for Californians.

I started reading it and was wondering why all of it were like Republican taking points. Then saw it was Senate Republicans. First 3 points are due to pandemic and mishandling of trump’s admin. 4 is due to Republicans driving up education. 5, 6 is due to unique California location that keeps all about trapped, California was infamous during 60s, 70s, 80s for it’s smog. Catalyst converters + unique gasoline blend helped to get it down so we don’t have higher cancer mortality. 7 governor doesn’t control permits for building, that’s don’t by cities. 8, how is the cost of living now after trump fucked it up? I skimmed over the rest and either are issues that Republicans actively fight against (education, cost of living), issues that governor has no control over or “issues” that are non issues, especially when you responded in discussion that Newsom wasn’t conservative enough.
I live in California and didn’t need someone who never was in my state to tell me how bad it is, I know how it is.
you responded in discussion that Newsom wasn’t conservative enough.
That was not my intention. I should have used different sources. I can try again.
I can agree that the pandemic was a challenge, but he’s taking money from people who can’t afford it instead of from his fellow rich people.
Newsom’s opposition to the ballot measure – which would levy a one-time 5% tax on any residents of the state worth more than $1bn – comes amid an uproar from some of California’s most prominent billionaires.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/13/gavin-newsom-california-billionaire-tax
The loudest reactions came from advocates for the poor and elderly. They decried Newsom’s plan to scale back an expansion of Medi-Cal health care to undocumented immigrants that he had championed last year, as well as his imposition of $100 monthly premiums, elimination of some benefits, limits on at-home care and tighter qualifications for benefits.
“The 2025–26 budget proposal fails to marshal the resources needed to help vulnerable Californians meet basic needs like health care, housing, and food assistance,” the left-leaning California Budget and Policy Center said.
…
there were also adverse reactions from public employee unions over Newsom’s intention to hold down state worker raises and from city and county officials over a lack of grants for homelessness.
…
Medical care providers dislike both Newsom’s Medi-Cal restrictions and his diversion of funds from a special tax on health care approved by voters last year meant to increase payments for treatment.
Environmentalists are angered by Newsom’s declared intention to fast-track a tunnel beneath the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta to increase water deliveries to Southern California.
Advocates of Proposition 36, a voter-approved measure to crack down on some crimes that Newsom opposed, decry his failure to include funds for implementation.

Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed SB 682 (Allen) which was approved by the legislature last month and which would have banned PFAS or “forever chemicals” in six product categories - cookware, dental floss, children’s products not covered by previous legislation, non-paper based food packaging, ski wax, and cleaning products.
…
the Governor’s veto message cited industry’s unsupportable arguments about costs and ignored data provided by the bill sponsors showing the argument to be specious.
…
He also vetoed another Clean Water Action sponsored bill, AB 823 (Boehner), which would simply have banned plastic microbeads used as cosmetic glitter or in cleaning products. The bill had no recorded opposition, yet the Governor’s veto message stated that a to “ban specific ingredients, such as glitter, … may incidentally result in a prohibition on biodegradable or natural alternatives”. In fact the intent of the bill was to drive companies to use those safer alternatives.

Gavin Newsom vetoed a widely discussed bill that would have provided unemployment insurance to striking workers
Gavin Newsom vetoed a bill that was intended to protect farmworkers injured when their employers violated state outdoor heat safety regulations — dealing a setback to farmworkers and their advocates.

Gavin Newsom’s choice of guests – a parade of rightwingers – on his new podcast might seem baffling.
…
Still in its infancy, This Is Gavin Newsom has hosted several rightwing media figures including Michael Savage, Charlie Kirk and – almost unbelievably – Steve Bannon, one of the most regrettable people to emerge into public life in decades.

I’m not saying he’s done nothing good, but I stand by the claim that he is a corporate shill and I do not want him as my president. I may vote for him if it comes down to it; I voted for Harris in 2024. But I would much rather see what AOC or Khanna can do, considering they seemingly will not compromise with billionaires and Israel.
I don’t want him either, but we may have to vote for him anyway. He’s the Next One Up
we may have to vote for him anyway.
Speak for yourself.
He’s the Next One Up
It’s not a foregone conclusion. Fight a little harder for your life, please, you’re taking us down with you.
They’re going to guarantee Gavin just like they always do: run a bunch of other candidates who are going to pretend to want the job, only to throw it and all endorse the Next One Up at the last possible moment before Super Tuesday. (I call that “pulling a Klobuchar”).
I hope I’m wrong. But I’ve seen a few of these now. That’s how I think it will all go down.
It’s the pre-pre-pre-defeatism here that’s the problem. Please go outside.
Honestly, you may be right. But treating it like a certainty only makes it easier for them. We should be highlighting better alternatives.
Harris, Newsom, Shapiro are out for me, they’re pro-Israel. Ossof has accepted contributions from Israel. Pritzker was an AIPAC board member.
It is very difficult to find candidates without ties to Israel: https://www.trackaipac.com/2028
AOC would be my pick if she runs. Khanna would be my second choice.
Go ahead and make your list by whatever metric you want. Use the Primary as your platform. But don’t be one of those people who disengages if someone who doesn’t meet your standards gets nominated.
If those other folks are too pro-Israel for you in the Primary, that’s fine. But if it goes to the General, and it’s Newsom or Shapiro or Ossoff vs. Some MAGA loser, don’t use it as an excuse to sit out. Because if a bunch of people who found excuses to not vote for Harris has shown up instead in the right zip codes, and Harris was President right now, everyone would be much better off, including the folks in Gaza.
Sometimes, there are just no good choices, but not choosing is worse.
I would be willing to bet my house that he would never do it. Once trump is out the establishment dems will trip over themselves (and dead kids in Gaza) to restore decorum
Misspelled Ocasio-Cortez.
Ocasio-Cortez.
Thanks, I misspelled Ocasio-Cortez.
the White House East Wing Restoration Project, headed to a presidential race near you!
Yep. Imagine how many corks will be popping if/when that happens. :)
Even better will be watching the people who at that point will probably be pretending they didn’t vote for donnie and never really liked the guy trying not to say anything. :)
I’d imagine that will be the first thing to be torn down if the US ever gets their govt back. There’s no way of knowing how many listening devices/spyware has been built into that thing.
“Ballroom and military base.”
Like… What the fuck.
Part of me genuinely thinks it’s some kind of phallic metaphor.
Instead, we’ll ensure that we tear down the ones you tried to build and we’ll prosecute your friends and family for the countless crimes they’ve committed.
Narrator in 2028: they didnt.
Narrator in 2028: they didn’t. And so, the revolution…
It amazes me that people think trump and his family will face any kind of punishment at all.
Only vote for candidates that say they will.
If that doesn’t work, break the system that doesn’t serve us.
Stop being so meek. Reach out to others. Radical change requires radical action.
Good, tear down the monuments already built for him when he dies
We should tear them down now and make him watch.
He should have to pay to restore everything he’s destroyed.
His entire family should. Up to and including Barron’s kids if he ever has them.
A public urinal, maybe.
For solids too. Equity in waste, of course.
Trump Memorial Septic Field has a nice ring to it.
